One Step at a Time — Recharge Café Weekly Update

Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads, father figures, and mentors out there! We’re sending warmth, gratitude, and a heap of appreciation your way today.

This week at Recharge Café, we took a big first step in building the heart of our community space—our very first handcrafted chair! This prototype will serve as the model for the rest of the seating in the café, each one carrying the names, quotes, or icons of those who helped bring this dream to life.

We’ve picked up the tools, the lumber, and the hardware—now it’s time to saw, shape, and stain our way forward. As donations continue to come in, we’ll move on to building the table templates next. It’s a journey we’re taking piece by piece, and we’re so thankful to have you with us every step of the way.

We’ll be sharing updates, photos, and behind-the-scenes looks at the build soon—so stay tuned! Whether you’ve contributed, cheered us on, or simply shared the dream with someone new, thank you. You’re helping us build more than furniture—you’re helping build a home for creativity, games, and community.
